Timbercraft
are Cape Town's most experienced and longest established timber frame
builders. Since building their first home in Simon's Town in 1979, Timbercraft have gone on to successfully develop the timber frame concept for almost every application - from restaurants, church halls and offices to guest houses, lofts, penthouses, granny flats, holiday and family homes. Their long experience enables them to tackle jobs that might otherwise have been dismissed as impossible. Jim Bunyan, the founder of Timbercraft, maintains a hands-on approach to every project, ensuring that Timbercraft's standards are strictly maintained - however large or small the project. Recently, Timbercraft have also pioneered the 'home in a box' concept for export, with prefabricated kit buildings supplied complete with every necessary component. | Traditional
values and passed-on skills count for much at Timbercraft, with the
team including a number of the sons or nephews of the older timbercraftsmen,
and in this way skills and standards are passed on from generation
to generation. Timbercraft are a founder member of the Timber Frame Builders Association, the nationally recognised representative body of the industry, and Timbercraft founder Jim Bunyan has served on the TFBA Committee since its inception in 1985. |
